Dad's Birthday Party

The theme for Dad's party this year was fishing and no detail was forgotten!

We had ourselves a good ole fish fry with hush puppies, fries and cole slaw!

Dad opened his gifts, which were mostly fishing related and then we enjoyed dessert.
Live Bait!
We had the kids going for a minute but then they realized if was edible! Yummy dirt and worms!
It has been awhile since were were all in one place at the same time, so we got a few family pics before Blake and Amber venture off again.

Happy Birthday, Dad!!

Koby's birthday

Wednesday was Koby's 11th birthday.  Between cupcakes being delivered to the house and cupcakes being delivered to his school and donuts and gifts in the morning, he was showered with love from the whole family.

Friday night, he invited a few friends over for a camp out. We grilled hot dogs and s'mores and had more cupcakes!

Happy 11th Birthday, Koby!!

Kindergarten Round Up

Teague has now officially been rounded up for kindergarten. He was so excited! He met his teacher, had a tour of the school and left with a little goodie bag full of school necessities!

The other kids that were there at the same as us were all boys, too. I pray he makes some wonderful friends next year and that his school days will be some of his best memories of his life.

Color Run

Troy and I participated in a Color Run that my school hosted last weekend. We had so much fun!

The HEB bag was there taking pictures with all the kids and handing out fruit and water at the finish line.

It was a 5k with 5 different color stations that powdered us. It was a mixture of powder tempera paint and corn starch so if you didn't run straight into it, it didn't get on your shirt. Troy was able to run the whole time and even sprinted at the end. I'm so excited that I have a running buddy to race with!

Here we are clean...

And afterwards...you can't really see the color, but we were pretty dirty!!

Opening Day

2014 marks the third year that Richard and I have spent opening day together.   The weather started out chilly but then it warmed up and it turned out to be a nice day.  We always meet my mom and the whole game to tailgate before the game and then again after the game. There was lots of food, lots of people and lots of fun, the only thing that was missing was Amber. We did text her throughout the day and her boss in California let her watch the game online, so she was there with us in spirit.  I am very thankful for a job that allows me to take time off and in-laws who were able to watch the kids while Richard and I enjoyed one of our most favorite hobbies.
