Teague turned 11! This birthday was a bit different because we are in a nationwide quarantine. He wasn’t able to have a party or even be with his friends at all this year, so I had to get creative! I ordered a huge yard sign to surprise him in the morning and then I Planned a birthday parade to drive by with all the friends and family he wished he could have seen today! Overall, I think he had a great day and this birthday will definitely be one he remembers forever!

Coronavirus week #2
This week we managed to find a nice routine. We have tried to put the work in the morning and relaxation and free time in the afternoon. I tend to get up and get my school work done before the boys and once they get up they complete their work and then at noon we head to the track for a workout followed by picking up lunch from the school. Then, the afternoons we can relax and do projects around the house or just hang out. All of the down time has been really good for all of us!
Virtual Happy Hour and a birthday parade with my colleagues!
Track workouts with Coach Richard.
We spent one afternoon fishing and shooting turtles at Nana and Papa’s house.
We completed the raised beds and Troy planted a few flowers around the house for decoration.

Coronavirus 2020
The end of spring break took an odd turn. By Thursday we were told that, due to the Coronavirus, we would not be returning to school until at least March 30th and that is “best case scenario.” So this week we have tried to get some sort of routine and homeschooling going, so as not to be shocked back into reality when the school starts pushing out assignments. As a teacher, we will also be required to teach virtually, so I will somehow have to work that into the day also, once we past March 30th. But until then, we are enjoying the slowness and the opportunity to spend more time together as a family. Here are our adventures from week 1:
A few days just playing outside with friends and enjoying nature!
Church on the iPad while eating breakfast and math practice through Prodigy and Uno.
A day exploring the outdoor statue zoo and enjoying some sub-zero ice cream.
We blessed the food service crew with Sonic drinks

First track meet
Troy and Kelby has their first junior high track meet! Troy competed in the high jump, triple jump, 4x1, 300 m hurdles, and the 4x4. He medaled in every single one! He was definitely in his element and was proud of himself for all the hard work he put in through the City of Waco track really paid off! I was proud of him, too.
Kelby surprised us all with his strength and speed. He did the pole vault, 4x1, 110m hurdles and the 4x4. He seemed to really enjoy himself out there and received a medal for all 4 events.

The boys handed off to each other in the 4x1 relay and did really well! They have a strong relay team!
