Today marks the end of teaching in a traditional classroom. After 11 years, I am moving to a more specialized role with dyslexic students. As I wrapped up the year, there were lots of things I will be glad to say good-bye to, but also a lot of things I will miss, like being on a team! This groups has been wonderful and welcomed me from day 1 and I will miss working with them on a daily basis!
This year the baseball team really came together. Everyone knew their job and executed it well over and over and due to that they made it deep into the playoffs. Rounds 1-3 were so much fun to watch, round 4 we allowed too many mistakes and were not able to pull out a win. The season was a great one!
Baylee and Brock got married tonight. It was a nice ceremony and reception. Richard and I had a lot of fun with our friends that were invited and were even able to sneak in one dance with our matching shoes. Praying their marriage is a reflection of the Lord in the years to come.
This year we attended two banquets. The first was the Academic banquet. Troy was invited by Coach Rogers and received the Medical Terminology award. It was neat to hear the words spoken about him and see the words he wrote that were displayed on the dinner table.
The second banquet was the Athletic banquet. Richard and the booster club always put on a nice evening of recognizing the athletes. All three boys were recognized for the efforts this year and the coaches got us pumped up for all the things to look forward to for next year!
