Antioch had an open sanctuary week where we could go and spend some time in prayer over the new year. Koby has been attending Antioch so we invited him to join us. They had a packet that helped guide us through prayer and journaling and communion. It was a great way to stop and reflect on last year but also assess and pray about the upcoming year. Afterwards we went to dinner and it sounded like the boys all had good take aways from the evening.
Another year through the Bible and I learned so much about the history and culture this time through. I completed a plan called The Bible Recap with Tara-Leigh Cobble and highly recommend it. Not only did she take the time to explain the culture around the story but it also gave a video that explained the whole book every time we started a new book and she was also consistent about having us look for God in each day’s reading. Looking for a new character trait or attribute of Him took my eyes off of making scripture about me and more about Him and His character and how to learn more about who He is.
