Today was Troy's first day of Parent's Day Out. He was up early as usual, but kept saying "Please can I go to school!" He was so excited. We attended meet the teacher night last night and he just walked right in and started playing with the toys so I know today will be so much fun for him. He put his back pack and lunch in his cubby outside, found his name badge and then stuck it to the wall and then ran off to play animals with another little boy. He didn't even realize I left! Summer camp was a great trial run for us both I think. I can't wait to pick him up and hear all about what he did today.

5 months old and a photo shoot
Teague is already 5 months old. Here are his latest accomplishments:
*He can almost sit up unsupported
*He is eating vegetables
*He plays with his feet alot
*He is trying to get up on all fours
Troy was such a late crawler that I am amazed Teague is already trying to get up on his knees. Once he starts crawling everything will only get harder, so hopefully he won't figure that out for another couple of months.
Lately, Troy has been interested in the camera, probably because I have it everywhere we go. So I decided to show him how to use it and let him have a photo shoot. He took close to 30 pictures, but here are a few of his best...

Wedding Shower
This weekend I got to help host my sister-in-law, Audrey's, wedding shower! It was alot of fun and her and Javier got alot of great stuff for their first home. I also got to take some engagement pictures of them. They were such good sports and there were quite a few that pictures turned out really cute. 7 more weeks until the wedding, I know they are both so excited.

Dr. Appt
Teague went for his 4 month check up and looks great. He is now 17.5 lbs and almost 25 inches long. He can now roll from tummy to back and back to tummy. He is so smiley and laughs at other kids most often. We thought he was getting a tooth but still nothing, so I guess he just had a fussy few days last week. Last weekend Daniel took both boys to Fredericksburg while I had a girls weekend. Teague did great taking bottles all weekend and I am sure there was lots of daddy bonding going on! We are working on sitting up and sleeping through the night so maybe by next month those will be our accomplishments.

I loved this picture that came across my email today. Some days that is so true!!

Beach Vacation
Over the last week we were able to take a short beach vacation! We went with my best friend Tanna and her husband Brandon and their daughter Brylee. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect. All the kids did really well with napping and sleeping for the most part and we were each able to spend a little time as a couple while the other couple babysat. Tanna and I rode jet skis one day and Brandon and Daniel fished from the jetty one day so that was nice to spend some alone time with Tanna! It's been awhile since we have done that since the kids came along. Troy loved the beach. He has been once before but this time he knew what to expect. He would wake up around 6am and we would be on the beach by 6:30 or 7 and stay all the way til lunch. There are very few things that keep his attention that long, but the beach is one of them. He would jump waves, build sand castles, chase birds, play on the boogie board, look for sea shells, the possibilities were endless! But by the time lunch rolled around he was so tired. The first day all the kids took a 3.5 hour nap! We really enjoyed the quiet time ourselves!! I think we decided we are going to make this an annual trip since we all enjoyed ourselves so much!
Teague really enjoyed the water and the sound of the waves put him to sleep almost everyday!

Date Night
Daniel and I rode motorcycles with our friends Chris and Becca. We had so much fun. We drove the back roads for about an hour to look at scenery and then ate dinner. We dove back and stopped at a place to listen to some music for a little while. We really enjoyed our time out and are so thankful for Aunt Audrey who came to watch the boys for us. It was easy to have fun when I knew the kids are well taken care of!

Summer Camp - Day 3 and 4
Troy loved summer camp and was really disappointed it was over. Day 3 was Western Day and they made bandanas and got to touch and look at Doc the horse, which he loved. Day 4 was Splash Day so they all wore their suits and played in the water. Their art project that day was a jelly fish...so cute! By the last day, I would go in with him to drop him off and all the teachers would say hi and the older boys who were there to help with the recess/PE time would give him high fives. I really liked seeing him interact with other kids and adults! He is really a great kid and very respectful, we are proud of him!!

Camp - Day 1 and 2
Troy is going to summer camp this week and having a blast. Day 1 was Camping and he made a canoe along with going on a bear hunt and playing in tents. Day 2 was Mad Science and they made a science experiment painting along with songs and watched the teachers do some experiments. He comes home talking about his day and his new friends and he is so exhausted, so that is a plus! Stay tuned, Day 3 and 4 to come!

16 weeks old...already?!?
Teague is already 16 weeks old, I just can't believe it! Here are some of the things we have been doing...
We have tried cereal a few times, and he seems to like it. He can hold his head up now and is starting to push up on his arms when he is on his tummy. He is starting to lose even more hair now. Daniel is very worried it is going to be blonde, he really wants it to stay dark, and I think it will. He is starting to sit up supported alot but not for long amounts of time. He smiles alot and laughs and is very social. I think he is such a happy baby! It makes my day to go and get him out of bed and every time I am greeted with a smile!
Here is his newborn picture...look at all that hair...it's not until you look back til you realize how much he has lost and even how light it has gotten!!
