Birthday celebration

33!! It's hard to believe that is my age! I still feel like I am in college most of the time!!  My teacher's assistant surprised me with a Happy Birthday sign, noise makers for all the children and a cake. I even went to Teague's classroom and let him come to our little party. All the kids were so cute wanting to sing the Happy Birthday song a million times throughout the day.
I have no idea why Teague looks so sad!!

The weekend before my birthday Richard and I ended up being kid free for a night so we enjoyed the Texas vs. Tech football game on tv and we also went to celebrate by going to eat steak and sushi at the Hibachi Japanese grill, which was a lot of fun!!

He and the boys also had a surprise for me later in the week.  They told me that I needed to be blindfolded for this surprise. They briefly let me take off the blindfold to see that I was going to be trying to break open a cupcake pinata, but after that, the blindfold was put back on and I was spun around! I looked crazy swinging at this thing and the boys were getting plenty of laughs in watching me, but finally I broke it and they loved swarming in to grab some candy!
Richard let Troy pick out a gift for me and he chose the pink cowgirl hat.  Richard said at the store Troy was having trouble deciding between the hat or a shot glass, so Richard swayed him towards the hat!  LOL
Richard got me a nice bottle of perfume that I had mentioned I needed.  It was a great birthday and I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people around me who helped make my day special!
Teague wasn't quite sure what to do with his atomic fireball after it started burning his mouth so this was his attempt at making the burning stop!  The picture is blurry because he was also shaking his head side to side.

Fair night

We took the kids to the fair and rodeo her in town. I think they liked the rodeo the best but maybe that's because we wouldn't let them ride any rides. Aside from how expensive it is, I'm not real sure how safe those rides can be, so we just decided against any rides. We ate fair food, went through a few exhibits, took a few pictures and enjoyed all the cowboys at the rodeo. It was a lot of fun and I think we had the best looking crew of cowboys and a cowgirl around, along with Teague, who decided his halloween shirt was a must wear to the fair!!

Birthday weekend

For the boys' birthdays we took them to Medieval Times.  They had all been there once before so it wasn't a brand new experience, but they all had a good time, I think.  The boys always watch all the fighting with such intensity and Teague was hilarious with his facial expressions while he was watching.  At one point, he was upset that his guy didn't win and yelled that he was going to pour his drink on that guys head for being mean!  He always has something funny to add to any situation.

They had their picture taken with the Knight.

The birthday boys and their chicken halves.

My mom had a little birthday table set up for the boys with cakes for each of them and a little gift.

A work weekend

A few weekends back Richard and I met my parents and Amber and Taylor at my Grandparents lake house. Since they have both passed away, mom and dad wanted help going through things and cleaning things and organizing things. The first part of the day Amber and I worked in the kitchen while mom worked upstairs and the guys attempted to fix a lawn mower for 2 hours.  We didn't actually think they did anything other than talk so we had to go get a few pictures of them working hard to prove it.  By the end of the day the house had been organized and cleaned from top to bottom, the yard had been mowed and fertilized, the garage had been sorted through and since the lake was so low the guys moved all the rocks closer to the bank.  Afterwards, we got cleaned up and headed for some mexican food, which was a great way to end the day!!

13th Birthday Weekend

Baylee is now officially a teenager! For her 13th birthday she wanted to go to the Pistol Annie's concert.  We brought one of her friends and went to dinner, watched some bull riding, went to the concert, and then back to the hotel for a little bit of sleep.  It was a lot of fun and I think the girls really enjoyed it all!!

Here is Baylee riding the saddle as the Texas Roadhouse crew sang happy birthday to her!

Before we headed back home we stopped by Tanna's baby shower. It was great to see the girls and get to celebrate Horton baby #3. Tanna's sister made her the cutest onesie for Audree Ann, in remeberance of Brittany, Tanna's sister in law and in honor of Audra, Tanna's sister.

It was a great all girls weekend!!

First lost tooth!

Troy lost his first tooth!! It was a little loose and just that was so exciting to him!! We read books about loose teeth and I bought a story book/journal/tooth fairy pillow that he was looking forward to using. Once the tooth fell out, he tucked the tooth into the pillow and put that pillow under his pillow on his bed. I loved playing the tooth fairy and then seeing his face when he woke up! He sat straight up and through his pillow on the ground looking for his money. He was all smiles!! I asked if he saw the tooth fairy when she came and he said "No, I guess I was too sleepy!" Teague also said he didn't see the tooth fairy, but he thought he might have heard her! Lol! He is definitely a character!!

Here is Troy with his cash that he decided to save in his piggy bank.

First Day of School!!

The first day of school was great for all the kids! Koby is starting 4th grade and is one of the big kids on campus. Troy and Kelby both said the first day was a lot of fun and their teachers were really nice. They were not put in the same class, so Richard and I were happy about that. They tend to be a handful sometimes when they are together. Baylee is starting 7th grade and is the little fish in the sea again. I loved hearing her stories of attempting to find her classes and getting lost and even sitting in on the wrong class for a bit before realizing that is not where she needed to be! Teague and I are at the same school and I get to see him everyday at recess, which is really fun!! He acts like he's been there for years and runs into class everyday! I think 2012-2013 is going to be a great year!!

Teague ran into his class on the first day and found the trucks and had them lined up before I even had him signed in!! There were no tears and I could barely get a good-bye hug and kiss!
