Youth Pool Party
We had a Pool Party for our youth group yesterday and had a great turn out. I think there were around 25 kids there and most of them were visitors so that was wonderful! Troy had a blast in the water and on the trampoline. He loves to jump!! Teague just slept and ate and slept so he wasn't much trouble at all. We grilled hot dogs and just hung out all afternoon.

8 weeks
Teague was 8 weeks old yesterday! Here are some of his latest tricks...
*He can smile in reaction to my face
*He has rolled from his tummy to his back a few times
*He is starting to squeal
*He has adopted a 5-9-1 o'clock feeding schedule that is nice and predictable!!
He is a sweet baby and he is very easy to please, so that makes things a lot easier in having to care for Troy too! His hair is still dark but slowly falling out so there is not as much of it, and his eyes are a deep blue. I can't wait to see what month number 3 has in store for us.
I love his double chin!

Dentist Visit
Troy had his first trip to the dentist for a check up and teeth cleaning. The pediatric dentist's office was so great. The waiting room had a chalk board with each patients name on it for the day! As the appt. progressed and he finished each part he got a prize. He got a sticker after they weighed and measured him, a tattoo after the x-rays, a balloon after the cleaning and a token for a prize in the machine after the whole visit was over. It felt like we had left a birthday party! He really did well and the dentist was so nice and patient. My favorite part was the flat screen TV over the chair that was playing cartoons for him to watch. They really went to alot of effort in making the dentist experience a positive one!

6 Weeks old
Teague is now 6 weeks old and at this point Troy got a whole lot easier as a baby. The last 3 nights I have gotten up 4 times a night instead of once so I don't know what is going on with him. My first guess is his 6 week growth spurt, but who knows. My Grandma and my Aunt Sonja came to see the boys on Monday. They were a big help while I ran a few errands and Sonja and Troy played every game he had and then made up a few new ones. I think he is still tired from all the play time he got with her. As far as Teague's accomplishments...
* He started cooing and making cute noises other than crying
* He was only getting up once to feed during the night
* He smiles on occasion
* He can hold his head up
Not huge tasks, but for an infant they are stepping stones to becoming a baby and not an infant anymore. Teague has a sweet disposition overall and I see him watch Daniel and Troy rough house and I wonder if he is thinking..."I wish I could play too!"

Dedication
Today we had Teague dedicated to the church. The pastor gave him a letter to be opened on the day that he becomes of follower of Christ so that was neat. For Mother's Day, Troy and Teague got me a purse that I had been wanting. So far we have had a restful afternoon which has been nice. For dinner tonight I am making a roast with vegetables and biscuits and applesauce cheesecake for dessert. I hope everything turns out edible!

Here Teague is in the Heaven Sent Gown that Tara, Tanna, Laura, and I have all gotten our kids dedicated in since Troy...It's in the mail to you next Tara!!

Therapy
Today I got some much needed therapy. I love painting pottery so today I took about 2 hours to go alone and just paint. It was alot of fun and a great stress relief. While I was gone, Daniel had a hair cut appt. and asked if he had to take both boys with him and how he was going to do it. With little sympathy, I said I do it all week long, you'll manage! And they did fine. When I got home this is what I found...
Here is Teague's first smile...not that he knows what he is doing, but I love seeing what his smile looks like!

A fun weekend
Tanna was able to come into town for the craft show this weekend. We had a lot of fun catching up and visiting. On Friday night as I was cooking the veggies and Daniel was grilling the chicken all the kids were crying or fussing at once. We got a glimpse of what having three kids was like and I think we all decided that was just too many! Overall the kids did well, though. Teague and Brylee enjoyed the outdoors at the craft fair and Daniel took Troy to the parade and then home for a nap, so no one got too cranky on Saturday! We found some cute stuff and had fun just hanging out.

Here is a picture of Teague napping. He looks so relaxed and comfy.

3 weeks old
Teague has now decided that he doesn't like sleep unless it is from 8am-noon (when I can't nap) or if he is laying on you. This morning Daniel was desperate and tried out Troy's dump truck...he said it worked for about half an hour! Hopefully in the next weeks he will start to get into a better routine concerning sleep.

In my MOPS group they had a concert for the kids by Kingdom Kidz. It was great and Troy really enjoyed the dancing and loves the CD that we bought!!

Here are a few pics from yesterday...I think Teague is saying "No more pictures please!"

Slow week
We have had a pretty uneventful week. I did manage to go to the park with a girlfriend and her kids and we hit the grocery at 6:30a this morning to try to beat the rain. If Teague's not up feeding at that time Troy is running into our room at 5:30a telling us "I'm up I'm up!!" What enthusiasum at that hour! So off to the store I went with the two of them. I figured earlier was better and then Daniel could sleep a little before going to work. Teague slept the whole time and Troy was a great little helper so it worked out great! I also went to see my aerobics class yesterday to show off Teague. I miss teaching them and seeing them weekly, but I'll be back soon enough ready to get us all back into shape! Here are a few pics from the week.
We took them both for a walk the other day in the double jogging stroller. I think they both liked it. Troy looks gigantic next to Teague in this picture!

Little Angel sleeping. He still has the dark hair but it is starting to lighten just a little bit. My aerobics class couldn't get over how much and how dark his hair is!

Easter
The plan was for me to stay home with Teague today while Troy and Daniel went to church for the morning, but when we woke up there was no electricity so staying here alone in the dark didn't sound too fun, so I went to church too. Everyone thought Teague was so cute and not one person didn't comment on his full head of hair. Troy was able to do an Easter egg hunt in Sunday school in a pool filled with eggs covered with the plastic grass, he also got some pink bunny ears that light up and flash. He really had fun at church and then we had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard when he woke up from his nap and he liked that too. Teague got to wear his "Baby's first Easter" outfit so I had to get a pic of that even if you can't read it. It turned out to be a great weather and a very restful day!

Dr. Visit
We went to the dr. and Teague is now 8 lbs. 10 oz. So we know he is eating well! We have been busy with company and appts. and errands and Teague just goes right along with it all. He is really a great addition to our family and I know Troy can't wait til he is big enough to participate in the rough housing he and Daniel do every night. Here are a few pics from the last few days!

Random pics
The last few days have been great! I am loving having an infant which is a surprise because I was already dreading it before he even arrived based on hard Troy was as an infant. But Teague is so much fun and I am really loving this part. This morning Troy came in at his usual time at 5:30am and I happened to be up feeding Teague so he jumped in bed with us and asked to hold Teague. So with the help of Daddy here are three tired boys. I love all their expressions!

Teague and mommy!!

Aunt Amber came to visit and took Troy to the city wide Easter Egg Hunt. He had a great time and I am grateful she was able to come and help me out with the boys!

Mom and Dad we here most of the week taking care of Troy while we were in the hospital. I am thankful they were able to take off work and take care of a two year old for a week. I am sure they are exhausted!

Home Sweet Home
We made it home from the hospital at about 3pm on Thursday. It was so nice to get home and start using all of our own stuff and getting Teague familiar with his surroundings. Our final night at the hospital was also very bad. Teague is a great sleeper compared to Troy but unfortunately our night nurse must not have wanted us to sleep. She came in every time we got him settled down to take his temperature which woke him again and told us we needed to be feeding him. I fed him every hour for 9 hours and thought I was going to die. She was so worried he was going to lose too much weight that she came in hourly to remind us to feed him if I wasn't when she walked in. By 7am I was ready to see her go and get home so I could do what I wanted to do with Teague. Our first night home was great! He woke every 3 hours to eat and went back to sleep very quickly! I am glad things seem to be easier with Teague than with Troy, but maybe Daniel and I have a little more experience and we aren't so nervous about everything. We are so glad to have Teague added to our family!
