Meet 1 was in Bosqueville and Teague placed 2nd. He had personal bests in all three categories and the boys team placed 3rd overall. Not too bad for their first meet!
Meet 2 was in Rose Bud Lott and was over D-Now weekend so we couldn’t go watch. Teague walked away with 1st place and the team got 2nd. They just keep getting better and better!
Meet 3 was in Meridian. Teague lifted over 1300 lbs so that was exciting! If he can lift that again at regionals that will automatically get him to state! Teague has started really helping and looking out for the underclassmen so it’s neat to see him lead well!
Regionals was a huge success! Teague lifted very well and placed 1st and is moving on to State! He attempted to break the deadlift record, but the bar slipped out of his hands leaving his fingers ripped up. Other than that, he had a great meet and he was happy with his performance.
State was amazing! The news came out to interview them at the send off and that paper even did a write up. Teague was right there neck and neck for a 5th place medal the whole meet and it came down to the last lift and he got it!! 5th in the State! So impressive! The whole experience was fun for them and left them ready to get started on going further next year. When they returned, the school board recognized them for their state qualification. Teague’s hard work and self discipline is something to be admired!
