Discovery Camp

We were able to spend the last weekend at youth camp in Columbus, Texas. It was 1100 acres of archery, horseback riding, sand volleyball, go carts, basketball, and water slides with a pool. There was lots of free time to hang out and also lots of praise and worship time and time listening to the Word. It was amazing!

The worship services were so cold we had to bring blankets in!

We loved the late night treats, too!!

It was so neat to see all the kids worship so freely and really take the time to connect with the Lord!  We have such a great group of kids and we are honored and humbled to be able to be apart of them!

Kelby's baptism

During our trip to Arkansas, Kelby gave his life to Christ! It was such a sweet moment and you could really see God working on his heart. When we returned home, he wanted to be baptized so that was a special day, too! I found a picture of him with his mom when he was dedicated as a baby.
Many people have been praying for many years for Kelby and this moment. Heaven and earth were rejoicing today!!

Afterwards we all went to lunch to celebrate! Congratulations, Kelby!! We pray that you will continue to be sensitive to God's calling in your life and trust Him to lead you in every area of your life! We love you!!

Reality Mission Trip

We took the youth group to Smithville, Arkansas to lead a camp for 3rd-8th graders. They were responsible for leading the Bible studies, leading the recreational teams and performing skits and games during the evening worship time. It was so neat to see them lead out and get out of their comfort zone and get to know the kids there and show them God's love!

The night before all the campers came we spent the evening praying over each seat and also washing each other's feet. It was a really neat experience!

Once the campers arrived everyone was in full speed with what they were responsible for!

And there was a lot of play time, too!

The three little boys just fell right into the routine and all made a friend to play with for the week.

Troy's friend Wyatt even asked to pray over Troy one night! It was so sweet to see!

On Thursday, Kelby decided he wanted Jesus in his heart and he gave his life to Christ!

It was an amazing for some many different reasons and I'm so thankful we were able to experience it as a family!!
