15 years old!

Teague turns 15 today! He got his learner’s permit and he is our last to go through driver’s ed! He opened his gifts and chose Heitmiller’s for his dinner. I hope you feel loved and honored as a treasured part of our family!

Ft Worth Stockyards

For our 10th anniversary mom and dad gifted us a weekend at the Stockyards. We just now found some time to have a weekend away, so we jumped on the opportunity even though it was Easter weekend. We got checked in at our hotel to a sweet surprise waiting for us.

Then we spend most of Friday exploring and enjoying the nice weather. There was live music and shops and all sorts of animals to see.

That night we went to dinner at Catarina’s. It was a very upscale restaurant that required guys to wear coats, all cell phones to be placed in a locked hag for the meal and 4 courses that were all so delicious!

Saturday we did some more exploring, visited the local winery, and also watched the cattle drive down the main part of the street. It was neat to hear the history behind it and all the facts on how things used to be in Texas.

Saturday night we had tickets to the rodeo. We were able to sit in the VIP deck and have a really good view. The weekend was so much fun and very much needed Thais time of year! We definitely want to come back soon!

Opening Day

It’s been a few years since I’ve been with Richard on Opening Day! He and the guys put together a great tailgate and my mom stopped by before going into the park to work. Our seats were great and the Rangers got the win in the 10th inning!

Spring Break

We had some perfect weather for spring break! Mostly sunny days, a little rain to water my garden and everyday stayed warm outside. We did a ton of different things over the week.

Kelby had a weekend long baseball tournament.

We went to Baylee and Brock’s wedding shower.

Troy and Teague started off with Daniel on a trip to hike the highest peak in Texas at Guadalupe National Park.

Richard and I took the boys and their girlfriends out for a triple date for pizza on the patio.

I got my spring garden planted in my raised beds. I’m trying banana peppers and strawberries this season, along with the regular vegetables and herbs I do yearly.

The boys had their first track meet. They both did great in their events. Troy got 1st in long and triple jump, 2nd in the 4x1 and 3rd in the 4x2. Teague got 1st in the 800 and 5th in the 400.

Thursday was rainy so we decided to spend the afternoon and evening at the movies and Top Golf.

We finished the week with the Regional Powerlifting meet. Mom and Dad and Sonja and Alicia all came up to watch. Teague did great and placed 6th. Troy could not get his initial squat weight so he was disqualified, which was super disappointing, but he cheered on his teammates and tried to remain positive throughout the day.
