Prom

Teague’s first Prom! He and the guys from D-Now cooked up a plan to ask all the girls to prom. Some as friends and some as significant others. They all had great ideas and it was neat to see how their posters all turned out. Teague asked Haleigh using her favorite drink.

Prom was a bit chilly and windy, since they chose February rather than April or May, but at least the sun was out! We started with pictures at Vintage Oaks, then the party bus took them for more pictures downtown, dinner at Casa de Brazil and then to prom. Teague said they had a great time dancing and gambling although he walked away with no winnings. After prom they watched a movie at Tavyn’s house and called it a night around 2am.

World Mandate

Blake’s church from Puerto Rico took a trip to Waco for World Mandate! I was so excited to be able to attend with him. There were some great sessions and I left feeling like I had heard some fresh revelations. It was such a blessing to watch Blake love and worship the Lord. It has been decades of prayer, but the Lord is faithful! Before he left, we were even able to meet up with Teague and Troy, who was home for the weekend, for church on Sunday morning and lunch at Slow Rise.

Basketball

Teague decided to play JV basketball with JP for fun. He hasn’t played basketball since 7th grade, so he is learning and having fun with a new challenge athletically.

The season was a good one and Teague enjoyed basketball more than he thought he would  it was fun watching him play, but my favorite part of the season was when another mom of a player on the team came to tell me that Teague has made such an impact on her son. He helps him in practice and encourages him on the court . I was so happy to hear Teague is not only a good athlete, but also a good teammate!

TCASE

The annual Sped conference with the girls. We always have so much fun in the midst of learning more about the Sped world. The highlight of this year was seeing Maurice and also trying out a driverless Uber. I’m so thankful I work with ladies how love to laugh and adventure together!
