Girls weekend

Kelly and I spent the weekend hiking and enjoying the hill country. We started in Fredericksburg then to Comfort and then to Kerrville and back to Fredericksburg. We hiked and ate and shopped and ate and hiked some more!

The bluebonnet capital of Texas

We started at Cross Mountain after Enchanted Rock told us we could come in because they were full for the day. Cross Mountain only had a trail that was a little over a mile so we just did it over and over to get 4 miles in.

Then we shopped and went to check in to our cute little Air BnB treehouse!!

The place we went to eat in Kerrville had a 45 minute wait so we were able make a quick trip to the Empty Cross and I think it was my favorite!! There were tons of rocks with prayers on them but I spied one with Meleah’s name on it. I could t believe it! We watched the sunset and it was gorgeous!

Last, we went back to Enchanted Rock and hiked 8 miles. This terrain was definitely challenging and gave us a good idea of how prepared we are for the real thing. We are so ready to get to the Grand Canyon and I’m so thankful for this weekend away to unwind and end our training with some gorgeous views and scenery!
